Well-known rapper Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., announced that he was supporting President Donald Trump in the ongoing US election and praised his & his team’s “Platinum Plan.”

Carter posted a photo of himself with Trump in his office, through his verified Twitter account and added the following message to let people known about his endorsement:

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership.”

After expressing that the platinum plan, that contains Trump’s promises to Black America over 4 years – 3 million new jobs for people of color, access to better education, new immigration policy, advance homeownership opportunities, and so on, –  would assist Black Americans, the rapper continued:

“He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Shortly after Carter’s tweet, the other rapper, 50 Cent, who previously endorsed President Donald Trump by saying that he did not like Joe Biden and his tax plan, uploaded the same photo to his verified Instagram account and added a caption that reads:

“oh no 👀 WAYNE🤦‍♂️, I WOULD HAVE NEVER TOOK THIS PICTURE.

Following the endorsement of Lil Wayne, a good number of Twitter users posted messages in order to express their confusion regarding that the high profile rap stars supported Trump instead of Biden and Harris.

Conservative political commentator Michael Knowles wrote through Twitter:

“Lil Wayne, following in the footsteps of Kanye and 50 Cent, just endorsed President Trump. Rappers are now Republicans. What a time to be alive.”
