Lil Nas X Unveils A Video He Recorded To Motivate His Future Self, As Celebrates ‘Montero’s Success On Charts

Young rapper & singer Lil Nas X, who became one of the most popular celebs of the week after his groundbreaking ‘Montero‘ music video, went to his verified Instagram account with a highly inspiring video of himself.

On April 5, Nas X’ latest hit, ‘Montero (Call Me by Your Name)‘ debuted no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, hereby, the 21-year-old star became a singer who has two Hot 100 No. 1. As known, the song ‘Old Town Road‘ featuring Billy Ray Cyrus remained no 1. on the list for 19 weeks in 2019.

Once the great news spread through multiple outlets, Nas X took to his verified Instagram account and released a video recorded back in 2020 to motive himself. In the video, Nas looks straight at the camera and says “I wanna say I’m proud of you” by addressing himself. He also says:

“Congratulations! You deserve all the good sh*ts happening to you right now!

Along with the video, the singer, who previously said that the last year was a milestone for him both to change his overview and musical inspiration, wrote the following message as a caption:

“Made this video in June 2020 to congratulate my future self. We have arrived.”

Just before uploading the abovementioned video, the star, born Montero Lamar Hill talked about his latest hit’s success on almost all the platforms. Stating that he was thinking last year that it was all over for him after debuting no 1. with ‘Old Town Road,’ the 21-year-old continued:

“But around this time in 2020 I pulled it. One day in June I was working on a song and found myself leaving the studio every 10 minutes to cry. But I didn’t stop working, a melody came to my mind. ‘Call me when u want na-na-na-na na,’ and I knew it was something special about it.”

He concluded his words by encouraging his fans and followers not to let the world decide their fate for them. Here is the mentioned video:
