LeToya Luckett Shows Off How Much With A Video Captured During Medical Examination She Is Happy To Have Been Cast For ‘Our Kind Of People’

LeToya Luckett, the singer and actor who gained international fame in the 90s as a founding member of the girl group Destiny’s Child, jumped into her social media accounts so as to show her excitement about her involvement in the Fox drama series ‘Our Kind Of People.’

On June 4, Luckett released a video that shows her reaction to the news that she was cast for the series; in the video, the artist is seen in a patient gown while taking on the phone with her agent April King. When she is informed about the great news, she does not know what to do with happiness; she starts walking around the doc office and cries out of happiness.

Alongside the video which is real proof that Luckett has been waiting for this kind of role for a long time, the artist wrote:

“I went back and forth about sharing this. Maybe someone wouldn’t understand my joy, but I feel that there’s someone out there that needs hope. That’s struggling to find the light at the end of the tunnel. That keeps getting the ‘No.’ Someone who frequently ask ‘God are you there.’ A newly divorced mom or dad who’s unsure about the future. Someone who is ‘one more let down’ away from the end of their rope. Someone like…Me.”

Stating that the joy at that moment was not just about getting the role in the highly-expected series, but it was about “finally getting a win over negative thinking,” Luckett continued her words as follows:

“Now, hard work was a major part of getting me this opportunity. I will not deny that. Faith without works is dead, but I just want y’all to know how amazing God is. He’s never failing. He always has a plan for us. I hope this gives someone the hope & light they need today.”

As fans might know, the other day DEADLINE reported that Luckett will be portraying the titular character opposite Yaya DaCosta and Morris Chestnut in the series which is based on Lawrence Otis Graham‘s book of the same name.

In which the singer is going to play ‘Leah Franklin-Dupont,’ the series will be airing on Fox during the 2021–22 television season.
