LeBron James Asks Citizens Of Akron For Help In A Murder Case

One of the greatest basketball players of all time, LeBron James took to his verified Twitter account to begging citizens of Akron, Ohio for help in a murder case involving his childhood friend, Brandon Weems‘ sister.

According to News 5 in Cleveland, Weems’ sister,  37-year-old Ericka Weems was murdered inside her home at Akron. Summit County Medical Examiner confirmed that she died from a gunshot wound to the head. What’s more, the Akron Police department declared that there are no suspects in the murder yet. Summit County Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that can lead to solving the crime.

Regarding this devastating case, King James took an action to help the police department to find the killer/killers; He addressed the people of Akron/Ohio and said he needs them all to go to work and find out who did that “awful, shameful, disgusting thing to such a caring, loving angel.” 

My brother’s sister was murdered this past weekend in her home! My brother’s family needs answers to why and by whom.”

According to multiple news sources, LeBron and Weems have been friends for long years; so much so that, they first met when they were just little kids.

Cleveland Cavaliers, where Brandon Weems works as a basketball coach, also released a statement regarding the devastating news and they said their hearts are heavy and filled with pain over the tragedy. They also demanded justice for Erika Weems.
