Kristen Bell Makes $50k Contribution To Be A Part Of The Solution For Racial-Inequality

Golden Globe Award-winning Kristen Bell, posted a photo slide through Instagram on June 5 and announced that she donated $50k to ‘The Color of Change’ organization to help to eliminate racial inequality.

‘Veronica Mars’ star, actress Kristen Bell expressed that she desires to be a part of the solution, and it is impossible to ignore inequality and police violence.

Bell, used the following statements to express her thoughts on this case:

“This is a time to raise our voices about injustice. We can post cute stories about life later. Right now this IS life. And we are obligated, as people w/a moral compass, to stand up for what is right.
I dont want the fact that I have been posting images of cops participating in the protests as anything other than this: I like seeing images of people that are part of the PROBLEM become part of the SOLUTION.”

Then she pledged to fight against racist actions through all the ways possible:

“I do not fear for my life when I am out in the world. And I’ll make a promise here and now to acknowledge where I see problems of injustice, and learn about the ones I don’t see- and strive to fix them.
To not ignore this conversation, even when it gets uncomfortable, even when I misstep. I am here to learn. I am here to be a part of the solution.
In support of the astounding mind of @heathercmcghee I made a 50k contribution to @colorofchange. I’m not looking for a pat on the back. I’m looking to be part of the solution.”

She also added the donation receipt as a photo and urged their followers to donate, too.

After speaking with some BLM leaders i now understand that so many posts using that hashtag was crowing thier ability to organize and relay important information, and editing the hashtag out was not enough. So this is the repost. Xo
