‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians‘ star Kourtney Kardashian updated her Instagram feed on United States Presidential Inauguration Day with a shot of herself that sees her in a white suit, and revealed that she is celebrating the first female Vice President and the women elected to Congress.
Alongside the photo, the reality TV star wrote that she is happy in the name of women all around the nation because they have a female Vice President, Kamala Harris for the first time, and celebrated 144 Women elected to Congress. Kardashian, who previously stated that she is supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, continued her message as follows:
“Today is not about politics or political parties, it is about female empowerment, breaking that glass ceiling, and women powerfully supporting one another.”
Then the media personality clarified why she wore white from head to toe:
“We wear white in solidarity with these incredible changemakers, many are the first, but together we will make sure they are not the last.”
Kardashian concluded her message by saying that “kids will never know a world where a woman wasn’t Vice President.”
Even though the post received favorable comments, some of her followers reminded her that she had shown support for Kanye West in the 2020 presidential election.
As known, over the years, wearing white became a symbol of women’s solidarity; actually, white outfits are a tribute to the suffragists who fight to get women’s votes recognized. Because of that, on United States Presidential Inauguration Day, a great number of famous females preferred to wear white apart from Kardashian. Katy Perry, who performed ‘Fireworks’ during the ceremony, was one of them.
