Kid Cudi Says Performing At ‘Saturday Night Live’ In A Dress With A Tribute To Kurt Cobain Was His Dream

Well-known rapper and record producer Kid Cudi took his verified social media accounts on April 13 in order to express his satisfaction with his latest ‘Saturday Night Live‘ performance.

As widely known, on April 12, the two-time Grammy Award-winning artist performed ‘Sad People‘ and ‘Tequila People‘ at the latest episode of the TV show, what’s more in a floral dress designed by the label Off White.

The dress which was created by Off White CEO Virgil Ablo actually was a tribute to Cobain; as fans might remember, Nirvana singer’s and songwriter wore a resembled dress on the cover of  The Face magazine back in 1993.

Cudi, born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, captured media attention both his dress and his adorable tribute to the late star. So much so that, a great number of media outlets, released the photos of Cudi in the abovementioned dress. Following garnering a bunch of praises, the rapper went to his verified Twitter account, uploaded a photo from the night, and wrote:

Dream come true! Love to everyone at SNL for being awesome! Let me know when u need me again and I’m there @nbcsnl. And Carey you crushed it! Special shout out to Lorne for having me!”

Shortly before sharing the tweet, Cudi announced that Virgil Ablo designed a dress for him and heralded that this design would be a homage to the legend:

“Virgil designed the dress for me. I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt a floral print sundress and this man made a masterpiece. Thank You @virgilabloh you are a genius! Love you man we did it!”
