American rapper, singer, and songwriter Kanye West made a statement through Twitter and caused a shock wave all around the world with just one tweet.
The 21-time Grammy award-winning rapper, wrote as follows:
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future.”
And West added the shocking words:
“I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION”
Following the tweet, certain names replied to him. The chief engineer and designer of SpaceX, Elon Musk wrote to express his support, and caused another shock wave:
“You have my full support!”
However, numerous Twitter users interpreted this tweet as a joke. As for author John Pavlovitz commented as follows:
“You may be the only person more needy and insecure than our current president.”
Besides, it is not the first time he expressed his intention to run for president. Almost 5 years ago, West announced the same thing for 2020, while accepting an award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
