The ‘Commander’ hitmaker Kelly Rowland is gearing up to throwing a virtual baby shower to support the nonprofit organization Baby2Baby.
Rowland, who announced that she and her husband Tim Weatherspoon are expecting their second child through Women’s Health magazine’s November issue, took to Instagram in order to invite her fans and followers to join the event. Alongside an image, in which she is seen cradling her baby bump, she declared the news; via the virtual baby shower, she will give support to the organization which “provides diapers, clothes and other necessities for children in poverty.” She wrote:
“As a mom and Board Member, I’m so proud of the work we’re doing to provide 50 million essentials to children living in poverty across the country impacted the pandemic this year.”
Rowland urged her fans and friends to donate to Baby2Baby to help kids in need instead of giving presents to her baby, who is already in prosperity. As soon as she had shared the post, a great number of Instagram users, including notable names in celebs world, jumped into the comment section to congratulate her for her responsive act.
As fans can remember, Rowland revealed her pregnancy to the public pretty late; in a Women’s Health interview, she said that she had hesitated to deliver the pregnancy news because the entire world has been struggling with the coronavirus pandemic while her home country facing a “national racial reckoning.”
During the same interview, the ‘Motivation’ singer also said becoming a mother again in these painful days is a blessing. As known, Rowland has already a boy, 6-year-old Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, whom she shared with her husband.
“But you still want to remind people that life is important. And being able to have a child… I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me.”
