The former member of the girl group ‘Destiny’s Child,’ singer Kelly Rowland posted a message on her Instagram Story which read “This Is Beyond Frustrating!” after ex-Minneapolis police officer Tou Thao, who is one of the responsible officers of the death of George Floyd, was released from jail.
Rowland published the news and wrote as follows on it to express her disappointment regarding the issue:
“What we don’t realize, is this type of sh** done purposefully! It is disgusting and literally screams to us all, your rights/LIVES don’t matter!”
Actually, releasing of this officer, shocked all of the world, not only Kelly Rowland. While millions of people are supporting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, this decision strengthened the idea that racial inequality is not going anywhere, even if the public fights for it.
The singer, called to her fans to vote and implied that the authorities that made the above-mentioned decision, will try to stop them:
“We MUST show up people. WE MUST VOTE! Even if they ARE trying to stop us! VOTER SUPPRESSION IS REAL! And ‘THEY’ KNOW HOW POWERFUL OUR VOICES ARE!”
