On July 2, Kehlani Ashley Parrishs, took to her Instagram with a series of shots of herself and her daughter, Adeya Nomi Parrish, and showed off her love while expressing her feelings regarding being a mom.
The former member of the teen group ‘Poplyfe’ stated that motherhood is above anything and wrote the following note as a caption:
“I’m not sure many things matter to me more than motherhood. I wholeheartedly believe there’s nothing more important I could be doing. The look in her eyes when she calls out for me. The smile after she kisses my face and holds my cheek. When she’s afraid and squeezes me, burying her face into my neck…”
The Grammy Award-nominated singer had given birth to her daughter on March 23, 2019, at home, and called it a unique and powerful experience.
She continued by pointing out Adeya gave meaning and mission to her life:
“I honestly don’t know who I was before her. Who I was before I knew this love. All I can hope is that God keeps giving…”
The ‘You Should Be Here’ hitmaker thanked her “little everything” and concluded her message as follows:
“I need that soccer team life! my biggest dream is the most simple. A happy healthy large family. Family is all I am, the family is WHO I am. Thank you for my little everything… You don’t even know what you’ve done to me 🌻”
