Katy Perry Talks About Being Pregnant Amid A Pandemic And Coping With Tough Times

Excitedly preparing for the birth of her first child, singer Katy Perry appeared on the cover of PEOPLE August issue and shared her maternal experience in the coronavirus outbreak period.

Perry, who released her latest album ‘Smile’ a few weeks before, said during the interview:

“Every day your options change, and you don’t know what’s what. Especially being pregnant in a pandemic, it’s an emotional rollercoaster.”

The ‘Roar’ singer also mentioned her fiancé Orlando Bloom – her baby’s father  – and his supports for her in pregnancy period:

Having a great partner, having a sound mind, continuing to do the work, I’m not as flinchable. I’m not untouchable or invincible, but it’s a little bit more like water off a duck’s back.”

Later she told that she believes the baby girl will bring joy to her & her family; and made a mentioned about her plans about improving mental health:

“It got me out of this desperate loop of being the best pop star ever. I just really want to be a human being and have the dimension of life. (…) I get to live life, and I get to bring life into the world. Finding gratitude in this pain has been a real journey, but the outcome is worth it.”

Perry also shared the cover of the magazine through Instagram and added the following caption:
