One of the most known tattoo artists all around the world, Kat Von D, marked a huge milestone through her social media accounts the other day.
Kat Von D, who gained international fame by starring in the TLC reality television show LA Ink, took to her verified Instagram account and released a photo captured for her latest musical work, and announced that she is marking the 14 years of sobriety!
The tattoo artist who is also known for her musical collaborations delivered the exciting news with the following message:
“Today I celebrate 14 years of sobriety.”
As fans might remember, previously, during an interview with The Fix, Kat Von D stated that she “really never imagined that I would be excited about being sober” in past. D, who is describing her decision on giving up drinking as a life-changing, continued her words at that time:
“On this side, you realize it’s something to be celebrated. That doesn’t mean that I think I should get a pat on the back when I post on Instagram or Twitter about my sobriety anniversary. I get a lot of people making comments like ‘Good Job!’ or ‘You should be proud.’ I am proud, but I don’t want to get extra credit for doing my homework.”
In the interview, the artist also told the world that she decided to stop drinking so as to preserve and protect her art.
