Academy Award-nominated Hollywood actor Jonah Hill updated his Instagram feed with the official poster of ‘Happy Gilmore,’ and praised his comedian & actor fellow Adam Sandler.
Alongside the poster, Hill, best known for his comedic roles in Hollywood features, added a caption to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film written by Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler. ‘The Wolf of Wall Street‘ actor penned the following message:
“25 years ago this brilliant film came out. Thank you @adamsandler for this gift you have given us. The world doesn’t deserve you.”
Hill, who starred in a couple of comedy films with Sandler, then stated that he saw the movie, starring Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, Frances Bay, Carl Weathers, Allen Covert, Kevin Nealon, and Peter Kalemis when he was just a kid. In his own words:
“From seeing this with my friend Ruben on his 12th birthday to watching this with my nephews and watching them cry laughing.”
The 37-year-old actor, previously appearing as Sandler’s character’s son in ‘Click,’ concluded his tribute by saying that the comedian is a GOAT.
As known, the film celebrating its 25th release anniversary was first released on February 16, 1996. It made a huge success and grossed $41.2 million despite its budget of $12 million. ‘Happy Gilmore’ has still been known as one of the most-watched comedy films.
