Stunt performer, filmmaker, and comedian Johnny Knoxville announced through his verified Instagram account the other day that the ‘Jackass’ team is ready to get back to the screen!
Knoxville, best known as a co-creator and star of the MTV fan-favorite show ‘Jackass,’ released a photo of Chris Pontius, Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Steve-O, and Jasper Dolphin and then added a message announcing that ‘Jackass’ gang will be appearing in Discovery’s ‘Shark Week’ show. In his own words:
“Oh dear, get ready for the Jackass gang to go diving for Shark Week! Watch our new Shark Week show on Discovery. Wahoo!”
Meanwhile, the stars of the show also took to their social media accounts in order to express their excitement regarding their return to TV. Chris Pontius released the same image we mentioned above and then wrote in the caption section:
“The Jackass gang is back in the water for Shark Week! Filming this has been a dream come true and you can watch our new Shark Week show on Discovery.”
Another member of the “wild boyz” gang, Sean “Poopies” McInerney stated through his verified Instagram page and stated that he has been beyond excited to share the exciting news finally with his fans and followers; in his message, the stunt actor also praised Knoxville.
The episode in which the ‘Jackass’ cast will appear as guest stars is set to release on July 11, through Discoveryplus. Check out the trailer below.
