The prominent figure of popular culture, Janet Jackson took her Instagram on June 25 and posted a series of photos to demand justice for Breonna Taylor, who is an innocent person killed by police inside her house.
In the first photo she shared, it’s read “How are you showing up for BreonnaTaylor?”
‘That’s the Way Love Goes’ singer captioned the photos by asking the question above:
“Hey, u guys. How are you showing up for #BreonnaTaylor? It’s been 100 DAYS and still no justice!”
The pop icon demanded the responsible police officers be arrested:
“TODAY in solidarity with the @untilfreedom rally for Breonna Taylor in Kentucky we DEMAND that @DanieljayCameron charge and arrest Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, Myles Cosgrove, and Joshua Jaynes.”
One of the world’s best-selling music artists of all time, Janet Jackson added:
“We also demand that state representatives Joni Jenkins and senator Morgan McGarvey present a statewide ban on No-Knock Warrants.”
Then Jackson, who supports ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement since day one, encouraged her followers to take action by spreading these demands online:
“Share this!! Make and post your own videos and email these people relentlessly. Sending love and gratitude for everyone who refuses to be silent until there is #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor #SayHerName ✊”
