The only woman of color to have the Academy Award for Best Actress, Halle Berry goes on supporting young talents. On February 10, the ‘Monster’s Ball‘ star went to her verified Instagram account with a shot of Zendaya, who has garnered great media attention for her portrayal of ‘Marie,’ in highly-anticipated Netflix film, ‘Malcolm & Marie.’
Alongside the photo, Berry expressed that she is a big fan of the youngest winner of the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series with the following message:
“@zendaya my girl is such a light and inspiration to many. In 2020, she broke ground by becoming the youngest woman to win an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Lead Actress category.”
Berry asked everyone to mark her words when she is saying that “this is just the beginning of many barriers she’ll continue to knock down” and concluded her words with big praise:
“Continue to pave the way and advocate for others … and most importantly, continue to be unapologetically you. #CrownHer“
In return, the actor, representing a teenage drug addict in HBO’s fan-favorite series ‘Euphoria‘ took to the comments section to show her gratitude for the words of Berry. Zendaya wrote:
“Omg…this means so much, thank you for all you are and continue to be♥️” Zendaya
Apart from Zendaya, Jamie Foxx, Naomi Campbell, and Laverne Cox also jumped into the same section to say that they agree with Berry regarding that Zendaya will be one of the greatest stars of Hollywood.
