Academy and Golden Globe Awards winning, 74-year-old actress Goldie Hawn shared the secret of a successful relationship during the interview with ‘Entertainment Tonight’ and gave advice to couples who are in lockdown together due to Covid-19.
Goldie Hawn, who has been together with ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actor Kurt Russell for 37 years, advised the couples to be patient and said:
“Know that this is not going to go on, and yet we have each other for this period of time which is kind of extraordinary.”
And she added:
“Sometimes there are things you don’t like about somebody, but that’s OK. You don’t have to punch them out. You don’t have to be angry about it. Just know that everybody has their own qualities. Sometimes they’re really good and sometimes they’re not.”
‘Snatched‘ star continued by expressing that keeping a relationship going is hard in case there is no forgiveness and patience:
“That’s a great quality to develop and I think this is what helps relationships sustain. Because they’re not easy. Not even out of quarantine. They’re not easy.”
Hawn also advised couples in quarantine to laugh together and stated that the greatest thing in a relationship is to share the happiness:
“I realized how important it really is, because there’s nothing greater than knowing that you’re sharing a laugh with someone.“
