The mega model Gigi Hadid showed her growing baby belly for the first time on an Instagram Live she attended for promoting V Magazine – Gigi Journal.
During the show, Hadid turned to the side so that fans could see her baby bump and said:
“There’s my belly y’all. Like it’s there, it’s just from the front it’s different.”
With this move, she also proved that she was not trying to hide her stomach. As might be remembered, a publication had claimed that Gigi Hadid was “disguising” her baby bump, after that, Gigi had answered back the publication by saying that:
“I said in a baggy jumpsuit the front and side views are visually different stories—not that that was intentional or I was trying to hide anything. Will be proud and happy to share ‘insight’ when I feel like it, thanks.”
On Instagram Live, the 25-year-old model explained why she does not post her pregnancy; she said that her pregnancy is “not the most important thing going on in the world.” Hadid continued as follows:
“That’s a reason that I felt that it’s not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus that was at the beginning of quarantine and still happening.”
Hadid, whose partner is the well-known Zayn Malik, added by referring to the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement:
“And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”
She also expressed her gratitude regarding the support she received throughout her pregnancy period:
“I’m so grateful for the positive comments and the questions and wanting just to know that we’re all good and safe and everything’s going great and I love you guys. I do appreciate those positive comments.”
