Well-known model and fashion designer Stella Tennant was found dead on December 22. She was just 50.
The grieved family of the fashion icon confirmed the devastating news with a statement published in The Sun. Her family said:
“It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Stella Tennant on 22nd December 2020. Stella was a wonderful woman and an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed.”
They also asked media outlets for her privacy to be respected and stated that arrangements for a memorial service will be declared soon.
Once the news spread, the famous brands and fashion world moguls released statements respectively. English model Naomi Campell took to her Instagram, posted a series of iconic shoots of Tennant, and wrote alongside that she was a humble, loyal, and practical person, and added:
“Timeless Angel amongst us. My deepest condolences to your beautiful children family and loved ones ., ICON YOU WILL ALWAYS BE. R.I.P 🕊💔🕊”
One of the most known fashion designers, Donatella Versace also went to Instagram, shared a photo of the model with her signature pixie haircut, and said that she can not believe Tennant is gone.
“You have left us way too soon. We met when you were at the beginning of your career. I cherish every moment we spent together. Ciao. Rest In Peace. Donatella 💔”
As for the former model, Cindy Crawford wrote on Instagram that she always admires Tennant’s fearlessness and style and sent prayers to her family.
Apart from these names, a great number of brands, including Chanel, Calvin Klein, Hermès, and Burberry issued statements to say goodbye to the model, who has worked with them throughout the years. Apart from posing for these brands, the fashion icon also fronted certain magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar to French, British and Italian Vogue.
