British inter-professional organization, Official Charts announced that Ellie Goulding’s latest release has debuted at number 1 on the United Kingdom Album Chart. The company gave the news by sharing a photo of Ellie Goulding holding an award, and they made the following statement:
“@EllieGoulding’s Brightest Blue debuts at Number 1 on the Official UK Album Chart, marking her third chart-topping album.”
A shortly after, the Grammy Award-nominated singer, Ellie Goulding posted the same photo to her verified Instagram account and expressed her feelings regarding the achievement:
“There are so many reasons why I am proud of this, it ain’t easy releasing music at this time.”
After referring to the coronavirus pandemic, the ‘Love Me Like You Do’ hitmaker continued:
“But you guys have listened and dedicated yourselves and supported me against all odds, the women in my life have made me feel more powerful than ever, and I couldn’t have a better team around me, when I’ve had some really low moments the past few years, I’ve been picked back up again and started again.”
Goulding released the ‘Brightest Blue’ on 30 June and received numerous accolades for her artistry. The highly praised singer concluded her words as follows:
