Best-selling author and television personality Derek Blasberg and his life partner, Nick Brown are dads now!
On May 27, the couple announced the exciting news through their official Instagram pages respectively. Blasberg, best known for his fashion works, shared a photo of their twins Elizabeth Grace Blasberg Brown and Frederick Noah Blasberg Brown, and added a lengthy caption in order to break the news.
In his message, Blasberg expressed his excitement by saying that he is “humbled and honored by the arrival of these two magnificent, glorious angels.” He continued with these words:
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to @nickbrown for being a wonderful life partner, best friend, and now co-parent. Thank you to our marvelous surrogate for making this longtime dream a reality. Thank you to anyone who was raised in or started their own non-traditional family, and blazed a path for us to start ours.”
After showing his gratitude to friends, relatives, coworkers, medical professionals and “lawyers,’ the ‘Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe‘ star did not thank to:
“Whoever said “it takes a village to raise a child” wasn’t a same-sex parent having kids via an out-of-state surrogacy at the tail end of a global pandemic. It took so many villages (and counties, and states, etc) to start our family and we’re profoundly grateful to all of them. This bliss is real.”
Meanwhile, Blasberg’s partner Nick Brown took to his verified Instagram account and published another shot of the little twins. Along with the sweet photo, Brown stated in the caption section:
“And in a flash, everything changes. Elizabeth Grace Blasberg Brown and Frederick Noah Blasberg Brown barreled into this world on May 18th. I couldn’t love both of them (and @derekblasberg) more.”
