After the Hip-Hop legends such as Shock G, Black Rob and DMX, well-known disc hockey D-Nice, born Derrick Jones, jumped into his social media accounts to remember his past and acclaim the rappers who are still alive.

The musician, who started his career as a member of the hip hop group Boogie Down Productions, took to his verified Instagram account and released a TBT photo set consisting of three photos to praise his former fellows. The DJ, who was recently awarded Entertainer Of The Year at the 52nd NAACP Image Awards, wrote the following message in the caption section:

“The recent passing of so many hip-hop legends has me reflecting on my own career and the members of BDP that I started with. I came across these prints a couple of days ago and just wanted to share.”

By referring to the first picture that sees him lying on the bed alongside his fellows Scott La Rock and KRS, the DJ continued his message as follows:

“The first is KRS, Scott La Rock, and I taken at La Guardia airport on our way back from a show.”

Then D-Nice addressed the second shot, in which KRS is seen a dressing room, and clarified it by saying that it was captured on the Dope Jam tour. Later, he wrote regarding the last photo:

“The third is a pic of Ms. Melodie and I. Man, I miss those days. Rest peacefully, Scott and Melodie.”

As soon as the DJ released the post, his good number of industry friends, including Big Daddy Kane and JaRule, jumped into the comments section in order to thank him to share the shots they had not seen before.
