The well-known figure of 90s grunge scenes, Courtney Love updated her Instagram feed with a black and white TBT photo that sees her with her sister, Jaimee Rodriguez, and got candid about one of her life’s great regrets.
Love, who recently gained media attention after slamming opioid heiress Joss Sackler with an Instagram post, jumped into the social media a day before her partner, Kurt Cobain‘s birthday, and released the abovementioned shot in which she and Jamie are seen in their iconic style with messy hair and makeup plus grunge clothes. Alongside the photo, Love wrote the following message as a caption:
“We couldn’t play ( well, THEY could ) but I dragged 1 from Portland, lured the other up from Hollywood/with promises of gourmet fromage, skater boys, better dope, & Jim Morrison’s suede jacket. we tore around town in each other’s smashed lace dresses, because, we were so broke.”
She continued her message, in which she called Jamie “cherished sister,” by revealing her regret:
“One of my life’s great regrets is feeding into that stinking bonfire 🔥 that 90s media made about our clothes .it’s so dumb . We shared our clothes.”
Then the star, who has been marked as “one of the most influential singers in alternative culture of the last 30 years,” clarified the post by saying that she and her sister put their money together to buy guitars, gears and a fine red. And she concluded it as follows:
“These 2 went on to perform a massive culture reset, with both of their amazing bands.”
