Courtney Love, one of the most known figures in grunge scenes of the 90s, took to Instagram the other day to mark well-known English model and fashion icon Kate Moss‘ 47th birthday and released a message telling of how much the model inspired her.
The former lead singer of the rock band ‘Hole,’ shared a series of photos of Moss, in one of which the two are seen together, and she mentioned in the caption section that the day they first met on Concorde, London, New York City. After wishing Moss a happy birthday, Love wrote by describing her then-style and appearance:
“A supersonic, narrow tube spaceship and you were sitting there, the lone woman, other than me, so beautiful and cool.“
The ‘Celebrity Skin‘ hitmaker continued her message by referring to the model’s timeless, unique fashion taste and style:
“I had frances strapped onto my front and you had the coolest little leather jacket on, and you smell so great. With a twinkle in your eye, and mischief in your heart.”
Following describing the strong figure of the waifish fashion with poetic words, Love stated that she is more beautiful at the age of 47 than she has ever been. Expressing she is glad Moss was born, the singer, who has drawn public attention with her marriage to Nirvana’s Curt Cobain, concluded her words by praising Moss as follows:
“Keep being good to yourself. So proud of you! You inspire so many! Bell sends Stanley pom love chortles.”
As Courtney Love stated in her message, Moss has been marked as a notable figure for the fashion industry; at the beginning of her modeling career, she became a part of the “grunge” trend, then she has worked with Chanel, Balenciaga, Burberry, Versace, Alexander Wang, David Yurman, Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and Alexander McQueen.
