Cardi B, born Belcalis Almanzar, took to Instagram Live on September 18 and explained why she filed for divorce from Offset. As known, multiple sources announced that the ‘WAP’ rapper filed the divorce papers against Offset, however, the reason for the split had not been known.
During the live stream, the rapper thanked for the love and prayers she has been receiving but added that she does not really need it. Continued:
“I’m okay. I wanted to let y’all know I have not shed not one tear.”
Then the Grammy Award winner denied the claims that infidelity is the reason behind the divorce, and criticized news targeting her, by saying:
“Every single time that this guy has been so crazy, so fu**ed up and it hits the media, I’m always crying, always sad because I don’t like that type of s**t. This time, I wasn’t crying. You want to know why? The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that s**t that ever happened before. It’s not because of cheating. I’m seeing people be like, ‘Oh, he has a baby on the way.’ That’s a whole fu**ing complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bulls**t.”
The 27-year-old stated that she just got tired of arguing with Offset, and decided to leave.
“When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore before you actually get cheated on, I’d rather just leave. Nothing crazy out of this world happened, sometimes people really do grow apart.”
The rapper, who was secretly married with Offset in September 2017 and welcomed her first child with him, concluded her words as follows:
“I have been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this man… Sometimes you’re just tired of the arguments and the build-up. You get tired sometimes and before something happens, you leave.”
