Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Supports Women Empowerment By Giving Away $1 Million

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion collaborated with Cash App to give away $1 million both for celebrating the success of the song, ‘WAP’, and supporting woman empowerment. As known, the duo recently topped the United States Billboard Hot 100 with their new single and broke records in a very short time.

According to the official announcement made on August 19, 2000 women who Tweet with the hashtag “#WAPParty” will receive a portion of the $1 Million – $500 each – through Cash App. The said announcement continued:

“To celebrate and honor the inspirational conversation that’s been happening in response to the song, Meg and Cardi will be giving back to women in a big way, starting today.”

Apart from the official statement, Cardi B also released the news about Twitter’s biggest-ever cash prize. She wrote on Twitter, alongside a photo of ‘WAP’ cover art:

Y’all made #WAP amazing!!! We’re partnering with Twitter and Cash App to give away a total of $1 million dollars to celebrate all you powerful women out there. Tell us why you or a woman you know can use a piece of the $.”

As for Megan Thee Stallion, wrote:

“To all everyone supporting #WAP we see you!!! We’re partnering with Twitter and Cash App to celebrate all the powerful women out there by giving away a total of $1 million dollars.”

Despite that many fans welcomed the news excitedly, a good number of people stated that intending to promote female empowerment through the sex-laced song was highly conflicting.
