Camila Cabello Following Jacob Blake Shooting: “We Need A Sign That This Government Has Enough Empathy”

Cuban-American singer and songwriter Camila Cabello raised her voice for Jacob Blake, who is another black man fatally shot by police officers, and called the government to take a real action to protect US citizens. Cabello posted to her Instagram page a screenshot of US House Candidate Jamaal Bowman’s tweet that reads:

Three boys just saw their father shot 7 times in the back by police. No gun. No struggle. He was just walking away. Praying for Jacob Blake to make a speedy and full recovery. This issue is systemic. The senate needs to respond boldly and humanely. This is why we scream BLM!”

The singer supporting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement by hitting the streets for protests, expressed how she was sorry for Blake and criticized the government who do not have enough care for their citizens:

“I just have no words… I am closing my eyes and praying for this man and his family, I’m praying for his physical healing as well as the eventual healing for this trauma, grief, loss, and necessary rage, pain, and anger of his family and I’m praying for the collective healing of this country, of our Black brothers and sisters who have to live in a world that’s given them so much pain.”

Cabello also shared before a good number of posts to encourage her fans and followers to change the system by voting, called to authorities to arrest the cops involved in shooting:

“We DEMAND a new world.  We need change, we need these cops ARRESTED, and we need a sign that this government has enough empathy and cares enough about humanity to do something about it.”
