Brazilian former professional boxer Viviane Obenauf was arrested for allegedly beating her 61-year-old husband, Thomas F. to death.
According to reports by multiple media outlets, the boxer got arrested after her husband, well-known as a local figure, had been found dead due to blunt force trauma at his Des Alpes restaurant in Switzerland, in October.
Obenauf has been accused of hitting Thomas F. with a blunt object. As police reports say, the injuries of the 61-year-old man, that led him to the death, showed a “sustained violent assault.”
The 34-year-old pro boxer, who said that her worst quality was her “impatience” in an interview with Blick, was booked into a jail in Switzerland after she had been questioned for several hours by police officers.
According to Swiss news outlets, Obenauf, who is accepted as the chief suspect in Thomas’ death, has been reportedly in custody for almost 3 months since the incident happened.
The former boxer, having a son from a previous relationship, and the restaurant owner Thomas F. got married on January 25, 2020. It is predicted that the two first met after Obenauf retired from boxing. As known, she quitted boxing following losing against Terri Harper in November 2019 and worked in the food industry for a short period.
