As his daughter, Miley Cyrus did a few weeks ago, Billy Ray Cyrus surprised his fans with a new EP titled ‘The Singin’ Hills Sessions – Mojave,’ featuring five new songs and covers.
The exciting news regarding the genre-bending new EP was delivered by Billy Ray Cyrus himself. Cyrus, who has released 16 studio albums and 53 singles until now, shared posts one after another to announce his new musical release is out.
What’s more, Cyrus declared that his new single ‘Mama Said Knock You Out,’ which is a country version of rapper LL Cool J’s release, is now available on music platforms. Also, an animated music video accompanies the track.
Regarding his new single, the 59-year-old country music singer, who dropped ‘The Singin’ Hills Session – Sunset‘ earlier this year, said in a statement:
“I’ve always loved that song as well as fellow Kentucky native, Muhammed Ali, and just the concept of persistence and believing in yourself. Countrifying it was a joy and I feel like this song is the next segment of my circle following ‘Old Town Road.’”
As known, the singer gained further popularity by teaming up with rapper Lil Nas X for ‘Old Town Road.’ The mixed-genre song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and broke a record as the longest-running no.1 song in history.
‘The Singin’ Hills Sessions – Mojave,’ deriving its title from the covers recorded in the Mojave Desert, is now available to listen to. Here is the music video for the ‘Mama Said Knock You Out’ from the album.
