Well-known rapper, singer, and songwriter Big Sean updated his Instagram feed with a series of photos of himself, in one of which he appears holding a party balloon, to mark his 14 years in the music industry.

Alongside the photos, the rapper, born Sean Michael-Leonard Anderson, wrote:

“Going into my 14th year of professionally rapping and living my dream (I count the year before I signed my deal)! Unreal!”

The ‘Detroit’ rapper, who received a Grammy nomination for his ‘Deep Reverence‘ rap performance, continued:

“It’s been ups n downs but I’m not stopping anytime soon, no matter how bad some of y’all want me to, I got more to say! 🌍🤟🏾🌹🔥💙”

Following the post, he proved that he has many more to do by announcing that the collaboration with Jack Harlow, ‘Way Out‘ is out now.

According to Anderson’s 2009 dated MTV interview, he rose to fame after well-known rapper Kanye West, who had heard his skills during a rap battle in Detroit hip-hop station WHTD FM, had invited him to perform his freestyle. In Anderson’ words:

“As we get to the entrance of the radio station… We stopped in the middle of the doorway. He starts looking at me and bobbing his head.”

After that, Anderson gave a demo tape to ‘Power’ rapper, and in 2007 he signed a contract with West’s GOOD Music. The same year, the rapper officially released his debut album, ‘Finally Famous: The Mixtape.’
