One of the world’s best-selling recording artists, Beyoncé, took to her verified Instagram account in order to mark a great anniversary; On April 24, the 26-time MTV Video Music Award-winning star included various shots from the music videos for ‘Lemonade‘ and celebrated the 5th release anniversary of the album with an accompanying message.
The star, who is not familiar with becoming sociable through her verified social media accounts, expressed her satisfaction with releasing ‘Lemonade’ that touches on many souls and being the creator of that kind of work that become one of the groundbreaking albums of all times.
Alongside the photos, Beyoncé, born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, wrote:
“I’m grateful that this body of work has resonated so deeply with so many people. I’m so thankful for all the beautiful souls involved in making one of my favorite pieces of art.”
As known, the album, released back on April 23, 2016 by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, was nominated for 9 Grammy Awards at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards and won Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video in 2017. ‘Lemonade, Beyoncé’s second “visual album”, also sold 2.5 million copies worldwide.
The singer, who won 8 MTV Music Awards in the same year with the album, concluded her message as follows:
“As I celebrate five years of Lemonade, I encourage everyone to continue healing, loving, forgiving and uplifting. I hope you find joy today.
As soon as the star released the post, a great number of people, including well-known names, jumped into the comments section. while British Fashion Illustrator & Designer Hayden Williams described the album as a “cultural reset,” the official Instagram page for MTV added that ‘Lemonade’ “changed so, so, so many lives.”
