The BET Awards have announced that Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will receive the Humanitarian Award at the 20th annual BET Awards.
According to announcements, the 24-time Grammy winner will get this award for her ‘BeyGOOD’ initiative and her work in helping communities.
Within the ‘BeyGOOD’ initiative Knowles-Carter created the ‘Homecoming Scholars Award Program,’ and supported young women in colleges through ‘Formation Scholars.’ Meanwhile, she brought safe water and sanitation to the African country, Burundi by making collaboration with UNICEF.
Besides, the ‘Crazy in Love’ singer supported Black communities that are disproportionately affected by COVID-19 & related economical crisis.
Recently, the 38-year-old singer, along with releasing ‘Black Parade,’ created the ‘Black Business Fund‘ to support Black-owned businesses.
The 2020 BET Awards show, which the late Kobe Bryant and Little Richard will receive tributes, will air on June 28, at 8 p.m.
