Well-known singer Bebe Rexha, born Bleta Rexha, took to Instagram to praise Kim Kardashian West, for showing that an Armenian woman with curves could be an icon in the world, where just skinny and blondie girls are appreciated.

The singer posted a series of videos to Instagram Stories and first said that she is a big fan of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Marilyn Monroe, who are accepted as icons, however as a girl grown up in the US, the beauty standards have always made her uncomfortable and alone when she compared herself with these icons.

At that point, the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘ star came out and opened a new door for the women who are not fitting beauty stereotypes.  She continued:

“I’m thankful for someone like Kim K because growing up you see Marilyn Monroe, this icon with blonde hair and blue eyes and then you have a girl like Kim Kardashian who comes and is Armenian, has curves. She changes the trajectory of what is a new standard of beauty, which is curves!”

Rexha also praised the founder of SKIMS by saying that she contributed greatly to Armenian culture by showing and embracing it. The ‘The Way I Are (Dance with Somebody)‘ hitmaker, who is Albanian, congratulated the TV personality for being the first and the most-known celebrity who is proud of having a culture and different features.

The singer concluded her words by crediting Kardashian with inspiring her to share more of her own culture with her followers and fans.

“The Albanian culture has inspired me as an artist and shaped me as a human, and I’m proud of it.”

Also, Kardashian reposted these stories to her verified Instagram account.
