Ashley Tisdale, the new mom, released a heartbreaking tribute to her beloved dog Maui, through her verified social media accounts.
On the second death anniversary of the teacup Maltipoo, the actor, who welcomed her first child with her husband Christopher French a while ago, took to her Twitter account to remember her four-legged friend. As fans might remember, Maui, whom the actor described as her “soulmate” passed away two years ago due to an illness.
So as to honor the memory of Maui, Tisdale released a photo of him and added a message announcing she has been trying to cope with anxiety ahead of the second death anniversary:
“How has it been two years since I’ve seen your face. Why is it that I get anxiety the week leading up to this day? Probably because it was the worst night of my life. However, in that night I found my strength. Strength to carry on knowing I wouldn’t see you every day, feel your kisses and your warm furry body resting on my lap.”
The ‘High School Musical‘ actor, who previously stated that she was not ready for the passing of Maui, continued her message as follows:
“So much has changed in the last two years it feels so far from you. But I know you’re here, I know you’re watching over us, I know you would have loved Jupiter. I miss you everyday Maui. I tell juju all about our angel watching over us. Forever and always.”
As fans might remember, Tisdale and her husband, Christopher French got matching tattoos in honor of Maui two years ago.
