Romeo Miller Marks The 20th Anniversary Of His Debut Album ‘Lil’ Romeo’ With A Hearty Message Focusing On His Struggles As A Child Star

Romeo Miller took a stroll down memory lane to honor his rap career of more than 20 years; on June 4, the rapper jumped into his verified social media accounts so as to mark the 20th release anniversary of the album ‘Lil’ Romeo‘ which brought him international fame at a very young age.

Miller, who achieved celebrity status after signing with his father, Master P.’s record label No Limit Records, released a couple of photos, including the cover photo and a shot from the music video. Alongside the photos providing that he was a real rap star when he was just 10, Miller added a message that reads:

“Today marks the 20th year anniversary of my debut album ‘Lil Romeo.’ People will always see the success and call it luck or etc, but what people didn’t see was the many months I was away from my family promoting this album (like a grown man) on top of the many escaped traveling tragedies just to get to the city to city every other day to perform for the fans on top of maintaining an A & B average in school because my parents didn’t play that.”

Miller, who released his debut album back on July 3, 2001, through No Limit Records, then revealed that he saw his cousin die in front of him before making his debut album and he captured at that moment that life was so precious.

Stating that selling over 200k records in his first 2 days was no accident, the 31-year-old concluded his words as follows:

“Even when the history I’ve already made gets overlooked, I know God and my day 1 fan know and appreciate; because they were the reason behind the legend. Write your goals down, conquer them, then move to the next. Thank you all for the support and the best is yet to come.

The said album, including the singles ‘My Baby,’ and ‘The Girlies’ was certified Gold in 2002.
