Dua Lipa Encourages Her Followers To Demand Justice For George Floyd

As a singer who won two Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, and two MTV Europe Music Awards, Dua Lipa encouraged her followers to stand upon George Floyd’s rights by made a sharing on Instagram, on the other day.

Proverbially, an Afro-American man from Minnesota, George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on May 25, 2020. The mentioned police officer knelt on George’s neck for almost 9 minutes until he became unresponsive, despite that he said “I can’t breath,” many times.

This devastating and unacceptable case brought the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement to the light again. Also, almost all the celebrities all around the world reacted to this police violence, of course.

One of them, Dua Lipa shared several photos related to this case, and captioned them as follows:

“RIP George Floyd

How many more lives do we have to lose? Surely this has to be the tipping point when we ALL face up to the police brutality that has been captured on video for everyone to see. Surely this is when we say STOP, we will not tolerate any more generations of black Americans and people of color growing up in fear of those who should protect them.”

And Dua continued by encouraging her followers to demand justice:

“When an unarmed and handcuffed man is murdered by the police in broad daylight while begging for his life, those in authority need to know that our outrage knows no bounds. We demand justice.

She concluded the caption with these words:

“There are many ways to make your voice heard. Sign the petition, get on the phone, talk to your family, friends and kids. If you are a business owner, make a public statement of support to your black clients, friends and co-workers. We can be the change. We have to start the conversation in our own circles.

This is sickening. It’s got to stop.”

Her followers gave support to her with these following comments:
