The former footballer Ashley Cain went to his verified Instagram account with an emotional post regarding the tribute his little daughter Azaylia received.
On April 17, ‘The Challenge‘ star released a couple of photos plus a video that show a plane flows above their house and creates a heart and letter A in the sky in honor of Azaylia, who had been diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia – acute myeloid leukaemia -. In the caption section, Cain issued the following statement:
“We’re overwhelmed at all of the amazing tributes that are happening around the world. From Wembley Stadium to the Niagara Falls lighting up orange as a testament of her bravery, the awareness she has raised for childhood cancer, and all the children and families she has helped through her struggles already.”
Stating that both he and his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee got surprised with the skywriting tribute, the former football star revealed that he feels “broken, scared and worried all of the time.” However, he continued with these words, full of hope:
“But I am finding strength in trying to be the best father I can be, no matter the situation, for her. That is the least she deserves and the most I can give her, the best me I can be. There is one thing for certain though, I couldn’t be a prouder dad and a more blessed human to have such an incredible daughter.”
Cain concluded his words by thanking those who supported his family in these painful days:
“You don’t understand how much all of your love and light is comforting myself and my family. For now we have another day to cherish with another special memory – Let’s go champ.”
As fans might remember, both Cain and Vorajee declared through their social media accounts that their 8-month-old baby was struggling with AML. A shortly after this devastating announcement, the couple stated that they would take her to Singapore for treatment.
