Fashion designer and mother of the queen of pop Beyoncé, Tina Knowles became sociable the other day to share a couple of unknown details regarding the singer’s unforgettable Grammy performance in 2004.
To mention the details, Knowles first released a video of her daughter feeding a dove during her ‘Dangerously In Love‘ performance as a part of the show, and then wrote that she remembers this night so vividly.
Alongside the video, the founder of House of Deréon stated that Beyoncé made history that night as the first singer to have the stage on the Grammys twice. Adding that they need to fight for it, Knowles continued her message as follows:
“Ken Erlich was excited to tell her that he wanted her to perform with the legendary Prince And although she was ecstatic and deeply honored. She had a number one album and deserved a performance by herself! When I expressed this to Ken his response was it’s never been done before!!!! And my response was that ‘It’s time to change that.'”
After repeating that making this performance come true was a bit of a fight, the proud mother described the Prince and Beyoncé’s joint performance as “historical.” As Knowles said, the performance became a memorable moment in Grammy history. Regarding ‘Dangerously In Love’ performance she added further details by saying:
“Her vision was an old classic photo coming to life and me and Ty @tytryone styled 16 people. In the end, I was on my knees praying that the dove cooperated and flew into her hand of course as always God came through as he always does and eventually the dove landed in her hand.”
The 67-year-old celebrity concluded her message, in which she implied that her contributions to her daughter’s life are great, by praising the ‘Crazy In Love‘ singer for her accomplishments throughout her musical career.
