Musician Phil Collins, best known as the drummer and singer of the well-known band Genesis, turned 70 on January 30, and her daughter, actor Lily Collins did not skip mark the day with an impressive Instagram tribute.
On this special day, the actor, who recently garnered media attention with her title role in Netflix’s fan-favorite series, ‘Emily in Paris‘ first posted a black and white TBT photo that sees her on her daddy’s arms as a little child and added a lengthy caption. Collins began her tribute by wishing her musician father a happy birthday and continued as follows:
“Words aren’t enough to express how much love and pride I have for you. After 7 decades on this planet, countless trips around the world, 5 kids, endless memories and a lifetime of stories… you’re not done yet!”
The 31-year-old star, announcing her engagement with film director and writer Charlie McDowell back in September, added that the ‘Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)‘ hitmaker means so much to her. The ‘Mank‘ actor concluded her message with the following words:
“I can’t wait for all the adventures and years to come. I love you so much, to the moon and back again…”
Even though Phill Collins did not comment on the post, Lilly’s tribute plus TBT photo received highly adorable comments from her industry friends. Besides Lionel Richie, Joe Berlinger, and Jay Shetty, Collins’ fans and followers flooded the comments section.
As known, the living music legend welcomed his daughter on 18 March 1989 with his second wife, American actor Jill Tavelman.
