Hollywood actor Wil Wheaton, best known for his portrayal of Beverly Crusher’s son ‘Wesley,’ in ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG)‘ updated his Instagram feed with a shot of himself that sees him wearing a coronavirus mask, and warned his fans and followers to take needed precautions against the pandemic which causes more and more people to die each second.
As known, especially in the United States, the deadly impacts of the coronavirus increased tragically; so much so that, so far 396K people have passed away due to this contagious disease, and 23.8M people have been infected with the virus. Despite this devastating situation, it is known that a good number of people still do not care about the pandemic and do not take measurements to stop the spread of it.
In order to react to those people, Wheaton released a message through his verified Instagram account, along with the abovementioned photo of himself. He first wrote that 1 in 3 people in just LA infected with the novel coronavirus, stating that he has lost count of the deaths.
By pointing out that the hospitals in the US are overwhelmed due to the great number of infected people, the ‘Stand By Me‘ actor added:
“And yet, through it all, some folks won’t do the simplest thing to help slow this pandemic down and save lives: Wear a da*n mask.”
Wheaton, who frequently shares photos of himself wearing masks against COVID-19 to urge people to do the same, concluded his words in a more moderate tone:
“Please. Please. Please wear your mask whenever you leave the house. People’s lives – including yours – depend on it.”
