LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers living legend, raised his voice against the US Capitol invaders and criticized the juridical system by claiming that there is no equal judgment procedure for all the people of the United States of America.
Through his verified Instagram account, James posted a series of photos of himself wearing a t-shirt with “Do you understand now?” and added a caption to express his sadness regarding the recent happenings in Washington. He asked one more time:
“DO YOU 🤬🤬🤬🤬 UNDERSTAND NOW???!! I know the answer to that. You still don’t cause no matter what happens you still won’t be judge, looked at crazy, chained, beaten, hung, shot to death cause of the color of your skin!!!!”
James highlighted that the entire system of the country is not working properly for all the people, and referred to racism in the country by spelling America with three Ks, like supremacist hate group:
“2 AMERIKKKAS we live in and it was at FULL CAPACITY LIVE IN DIRECT yesterday in our Nations CAPITAL AT THE CAPITOL!! 🤦🏾♂️😢😢😢.”
At the end of the caption, he added a hashtag, “#IPrayForBetterDaysForMyPeople 🙏🏾✊🏾🖤👑” and showed off his support for his community.
James’ post received highly mixed feedback; some of his followers thanked him for using his platform to say “truth” while the rest of them accusing him of wanting violence in the streets.
A day after, the basketball legend shared another post related to the abovementioned one and stated that supporters of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement were called dangerous while protesting peacefully, and pointed out the difference between them and US Capitol invaders.
