Justin Bieber Slams The News Announcing He Is Studying To Be A Minister For Hillsong Church

Justin Bieber, releasing his latest song, ‘Anyone‘ accompanied by a ‘Rocky’ movie-featured music video, took to Instagram the other day to react to the news declaring he has started studying to become a minister for Hillsong Church.

The 26-year-old posted through Instagram Stories a screenshot of a PageSix article announcing the news and added a message on it to shut down the reports. He wrote:

I’m not studying to be a minister or anything even close to that. Have no desire for that. This is fake news.”

After announcing the reports are fake, the ‘Holy’ hitmaker continued in another story:

“And by the way, Hillsong is not my Church. For clarity, I am a part of Churchome.”

Shortly after, Bieber took to Instagram Stories and wrote that Church is not just a place, and then added:

“We are the Church. We do not need a building to connect with God. God is with us wherever we are.”

According to news of PageSix, which was based on the OK! magazine, a source close to Bieber told that the singer “doesn’t plan to give up his music career, but he feels there’s a bigger calling out there for him” and added:

“He wants to be a full-fledged minister next year.”

After Bieber had denied the news, while OK! Magazine removing the reports from its official website, PageSix editors preferred the news to remain.

Actually, the news came after Bieber’s spiritual adviser, Pastor Carl Lentz was fired from Hillsong Church. As known, Lentz was discharged from the Church, where he had served as a head pastor, because of “leadership issues,” back in November.

Here is Bieber’s statement.
