Singer and songwriter Demi Lovato took to her Instagram to say that she does not need anybody to be happy.
The 28-year-old singer, who refused that the relationships and other people are the only way to reach happiness, implied that she is quite happy when she is single. In the message, which she posted through Instagram Stories, the ‘Sorry Not Sorry‘ hitmaker wrote, adding a pink heart emoji:
“The best part about being single is knowing that my happiness is coming from no other person than myself.“
Back in November, the ‘Cold Stone’ singer showed that she had overcome the split from her ex, actor Max Ehrich, by joking about the issue at the 2020’s People’s Choice Awards. That night, she said 2020 is a little bit challenging, however, she could handle it:
“I got into painting, photography, meditation, tested the limits of post mates unlimited. Also, I didn’t know this could happen but reached the end of Instagram four times. I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got unengaged, then went looking for aliens in the desert. So basically the same as everyone else.”
Following the award night, Ehrich took to his Instagram and wrote that joking about their broken engagement is not cool.
As fans remember, Lovato and Ehrich began dating back in March, and 5 months after, the ‘Young and the Restless‘ star proposed to Lovato. Even though the singer announced their engagement in a great cheer on July 23, with a series of Instagram posts, they called off it in September.
Neither Lovato nor Ehrich commented on the real reason for the split, however, according to a great number of media outlets, steamy messages sent by Ehrich to Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Selena Gomez led the couple to call the quit.
