Eleven-time Grammy Award-winning artist Bruno Mars went to Instagram the other to give a piece of advice to musicians who are not okay with Grammy nominations which were officially announced a few days ago.

One of the best-selling music artists of all time, Mars, posted a photo of himself wearing one of his signature hats and vintage sunglasses and suggested not releasing new music not to feel disappointed with Grammys. In his own words:

“If you don’t release music, you can’t lose any Grammys.”

He also added a “#ThinkAboutIt” caption at the end of his message.

Mars’ words go directly to the notable names in the music industry such as The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, and Nicki Minaj, who expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision of the Record Academy which announced the Grammy noms. As known, shortly after the official announcement had made by the committee of the Academy, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber took to social media accounts to criticize.

The Weeknd, who dominated 2020 with his latest release ‘After Hours‘ and especially his song ‘Blinding Nights,’ accused of the Academy being corrupt and asked them to be more transparent regarding their works. The Weeknd was supported by a good number of names in the music world, as one of them, legendary Elton John uploaded a photo of the singer and wrote that ‘Blinding Lights’ must be awarded for ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Record of the Year’ at the 63rd Grammy Awards.

As for Justin Bieber slammed the committee for recognizing his latest album ‘Changes,’ which entirely consisting of R&B sounds and featuring R&B and Hip-Hop artists such as Travis Scott and Kehlani, as a pop genre album. As known, ‘Changes’ has been surprisingly nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album by the Record Academy.

Apart from them, Nicki Minaj tweeted to criticize Grammy’s decision-making mechanism; the rapper wrote that she did not receive the Best New Artist award when her “7 songs simultaneously charting on Billboard & bigger first week.”
