Megan Thee Stallion went like wind through 2020s American Music Award night.
The rapper, who recently dropped a brand new music video for ‘Body‘ from her latest album ‘Good News,’ appeared at AMAs on November 23. Stallion, born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, both performed an unforgettable show and accepted “Favorite Song – Rap/Hip-Hop” for ‘WAP.’
During her stage appearance, the hottest female rapper, who made a massive wave by addressing shooting by Lanez with the song ‘Shots Fired,’ performed ‘Body,’ which focuses on body positivity, in a steamy catsuit, with a group of dancers. Before her performance, a pre-recorded video of the rapper was aired. In the video, she touched on self-love; she said:
“My body is mine. And nobody owns it but me. And who I chose to let in is so lucky. You may not think my body is perfect, and it probably never will be, but when I look in the mirror? I love what I see.”
Even though Pete was the most nominated female artist at this year’s AMAs, she could just receive one award for her work with Cardi B. However, B became the first female in American Music Awards history to receive the favorite song in the Rap/Hip Hop category twice.
To celebrate the achievement, the ‘Savage‘ rapper took to Instagram, posted a series of photos of herself from the night, that see her wearing a lime-green minidress by Area, and added the following message alongside:
“I can’t believe I will be getting away with these F*** YOU rings everywhere 😂 WAP won favorite rap/ hip hop song tonight 😛😛😛 @iamcardib”
