Pastor Carl Lentz, who was described as a “good friend” by well-known singer Justin Bieber, has been fired from Hillsong Church, where he served as head pastor.
Lentz, known for his connections to celebrities such as Lil Wayne, Oprah, Scooter Braun, Russell Wilson alongside Bieber, was discharged because of leadership issues according to the founder of the church, Brian Houston. In his announcement, Brain also said that a recent revelation of moral failures led to firing Lentz.
As Bieber’s fans remember, was baptized on January 9, 2014, by Lentz, and the singer called it a “born again experience.” According to TMZ, Lentz and Bieber have been known each other for more than a decade; because of that, the pastor became a second father figure for him in years. When considered Bieber had no relationship with his dad, Jeremy Bieber it seems quite normal. The report also says that the duo have spent almost every day together.
Despite the bond between Bieber and the pastor, the singer has yet commented on the issue.
