Beyoncé appeared on the cover of British Vogue for the December issue and opened up about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on her personal and work life and the events of the year 2020 as well.
Queen B revealed that 2020 totally changed her with tons of difficulty. In the cover story, she said that it would be difficult to experience life in a pandemic and the current social unrest and not be changed. The ‘Black Is King‘ hitmaker added she had learned during these painful times that her voice was clearer when she was still.
Beyoncé, the mother of three, also got candid about cherishing her family amid the coronavirus pandemic:
“I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life.”
The singer highlighted that she came into the music industry at 15 years old and grew up with the world watching; throughout all that time, she put out projects nonstop, even during the pandemic. The ‘Baby Boy‘ hitmaker referred to her accomplishments:
“I released ‘Lemonade‘ during the Formation World Tour, gave birth to twins, performed at Coachella, directed ‘Homecoming,’ went on another world tour with Jay, then ‘Black Is King,’ all back to back. It’s been heavy and hectic.”
Even though this year was a tough experience for all people in the world, Beyoncé had new plans. The singer, protecting and improving her Black heritage, stated that she had spent a lot of time focusing on building her legacy while representing her culture the best way. But now:
“I’ve decided to give myself permission to focus on my joy.”
