After 50 Cent had made controversy by criticizing Joe Biden‘s tax plan, certain celebs took to their social media to slam the rapper and to support the plan.
One of them, actor and singer Keke Palmer spoke over the tax plan, and explained why the people of America need to share their money through taxes.
Palmer, who recently hosted MTV VMAs, posted a photo of herself sitting on the top of a tractor amid a field. The four-time NAACP Image Awards winner added a lengthy caption alongside the photo. She first admitted paying taxes hurts and told of how she had worked hard since she was nine:
“I worked from the time I was 9 years old, long hours, I sacrificed my whole life for my craft but it wasn’t always easy. At 18 years old I had all these dreams of getting my trust and what I was going to do with it. When it came down to it, almost more than half of my trust was eaten up by taxes. The portion of my money that was supposed to be saved for me, as a child.”
Then added that she learned a hard lesson; according to her, what is difficult for her is ultimately better for the whole.
“It’s interesting how we throw around the word Patriot, but to me a true Patriot is someone that no matter what color or background or bank account, looks out for the whole. If we don’t spread the wealth and spread the knowledge, how can the bar be raised?”
The Daytime Emmy Award-winning host asked her followers in case all the people were greedy and holding on for dear life, how could the economy circulate.
“If it only stays in a few hands, how can our NATION be AMERICA THE GREAT? You can’t be great with only five wealthy people and a million poor. That’s a failure as a NATION and a win for a few individuals.”
Stating that individuality should be abandoned, Keke concluded her words by saying she would love to sit on a stack of cash that she did not have to share; however, that was unproper.
