Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron Responds To Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘SNL’ performance

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron reacted to rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who played a record of activist Tamika Mallory saying Cameron is “no different than the sellout negroes that sold our people into slavery” during her recent performance on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ After Mallory’s quote, Megan spoke directly to the audience:

“We need to protect our Black women and love our Black women. ‘Cause at the end of the day, we need our Black women.”

After Stallion had criticized Cameron for failing to deliver justice for Breonna Taylor, Cameron spoke against the rapper on the morning show, ‘Fox and Friends.’ The Attorney said that he totally agreed that Black women must be loved and protected, however, he added:

“But the fact that someone would get on national television and make disparaging comments about me because I’m simply trying to do my job is disgusting.”

Cameron also stated that Megan Thee Stallion’s performance was a display of someone who instead wants to fashion facts to a narrative that is simply not true.

“At the end of the day, my responsibility is to provide facts and truth and represent and stand up for justice (…) The fact that a celebrity that I’ve never met before wants to make those sorts of statements, they don’t hurt me, but what it does is it exposes the type of intolerance that people, and the hypocrisy.”

Here is the Stallion’s ‘SNL’ performance.
